Questions and Answers
Q: What Maintenance Services Are Available To Ensure The Longevity And Efficiency Of The Gutter System?
At Watertight Roofing, we understand the critical role that a well-maintained gutter system plays in preserving the longevity and efficiency of your roofing structure. Our comprehensive maintenance services are designed to safeguard your investment and ensure optimal performance. Here are the maintenance services available to enhance the longevity and efficiency of your gutter system: Regular Inspections: We offer routine inspections to assess the condition of your gutter system. Our experts examine the gutters, downspouts, and associated components to identify any signs of wear, damage, or clogs. Regular inspections allow us to address issues proactively before they escalate. Gutter Cleaning: Over time, debris such as leaves, twigs, and dirt can accumulate in gutters, leading to clogs and water overflow. Our gutter cleaning service involves removing all debris and ensuring that the entire system is free-flowing. This prevents water backup and potential damage to the roofing structure. Sealing and Repairs: To maintain watertight integrity, we inspect the gutter seams, joints, and connections. If any leaks or vulnerabilities are detected, we provide sealing and repair services promptly. This prevents water from seeping into unwanted areas and causing damage to the roofing system. Downspout Maintenance: Proper functioning of downspouts is crucial for efficient water drainage. Our maintenance includes checking downspouts for clogs and ensuring that they direct water away from the foundation. We also inspect and repair downspout components to prevent water accumulation near the structure. Gutter Guard Installation: To reduce the frequency of debris accumulation and minimize the need for regular cleaning, we offer gutter guard installation. Gutter guards act as a protective barrier, preventing leaves and debris from entering the gutter system while allowing water to flow freely. Pitch Adjustments: Improper pitch or slope of gutters can impede water flow. Our maintenance services include adjusting the pitch to ensure that water moves efficiently toward the downspouts, preventing ponding and potential damage to the gutter system. Storm Damage Assessment: After severe weather events, we provide thorough assessments to identify any storm-related damage to the gutter system. If issues are detected, we offer timely repairs to restore the integrity of the gutters and prevent further damage. Educational Resources: We believe in empowering our clients with knowledge. As part of our maintenance services, we provide guidance on best practices for homeowner care, such as regular visual inspections and prompt reporting of any concerns. By engaging Watertight Roofing for your gutter system maintenance, you can ensure that your roofing structure remains in top condition, promoting longevity and efficiency. Contact us today to schedule a maintenance service tailored to the specific needs of your gutter system.

Q: What can hail do to my home?
Hail may not show any immediate signs of damage to your roof. Hail normally has to be the size of a golf ball to bruise or break through your roof. Older roofs will be damaged much easier than newer roofs because roofing materials become more brittle over time. You usually will not find leaks caused by hail, but that doesn’t mean that you do not have severe damage. Hail gives shingles bruises that will expand and contract over time with the seasonal temperature changes and the sun's UV rays. Those bruises will turn into holes, and then YOU WILL HAVE LEAKS.

Q: Do I need to get several estimates?
For Insurance claims, No. Your insurance company is going to pay for the repairs based on what the opinion of the insurance adjuster is. They may tell you to get estimates, but they already have a repair price in mind that they “INTEND” to pay regardless of any price you get.

Richard was extremely helpful in dealing with disputes with Progrssive insurance. He provided several inspectors and claims adjuster with elaborate documentation and information to get the full amount due for damages. Ultimately we were paid about 15 times the original quote.

Communication was good and they showed up on time for both the estimated and actual work. I had a leaky gutter that needed to be fixed before I had a new patio put in. I thought the pitch was off or a downspout was going to be needed off the side of my house. Watertight Roofing said pitch was good and all that was needed was an addition to go directly into the gutter, see picture. I now have a perfect working gutter with no leaks, even during torrential downpours. Thanks again to Watertight Roofing for fixing the problem.
